Infant Massage Lessons for Parents
Welcome your baby into the world with Massage. Nurturing your baby with touch is a natural response. Learn to massage your infant with techniques that will benefit both you & your infant that can become part of your daily routine.

Contraindications to Infant Massage
The following conditions represent situations where massage should be avoided:

  • Open or weeping wounds
  • Infected skin irritations
  • Fractures or other acute injuries
  • Bleeding
  • No massage over an unhealed navel
  • Burns, including sun burn
  • Undiagnosed lumps
  • No abdominal massage if the infant has hiccups or has just been fed
  • Fevers or flus

About the lessons
Parents/caregivers are taught how to massage their children systematically in 3-4 classes over 3-4 weeks. Each session varies in time as we review each previous class as well as add new techniques. As well we all know babies run on their own time. Techniques are always repeated so that you do not miss anything. Lessons are for parents/caregivers with babies between 2 months old & 2 years of age.
