RAPID NeuroFascial Reset

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset, is a neurologically based,  active, therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous systems role in alleviating tension and restrictions within the body. RAPID is an evidence based manual therapy technique that can be used by all health care professionals to quickly and effectively eliminate pain in their patients.

What does RAPID do?
RAPID treatments target injuries and conditions where the pain is often a direct result of neurological hypersensitivity-meaning that the nervous system has become hyper-vigilant and sensitized.  This over-sensitization of the nerves typically is a direct result of inflammation in the injured tissue.
Over time, the inflammation and associated pain will result in decreased strength and decreased range of motion in the area which can lead to long-term disability.  This certainly isn't something that anyone wants!  RAPID aims to address dysfunctional nerve endings to reduce tissue tension and pain, and place the body in a relaxed state.

What types of conditions can RAPID treat?                                                                                                                               A wide variety of injuries and conditions can be treated using RAPID.  Some of these include (but are not limited to):

-headaches /migraines

-back pain

-carpal tunnel syndrome

-shin splints

-shoulder pain

-sciatica

-plantar fasciitis

-knee problems

-tennis/ golfers elbow

-whiplash

-TMJ

-frozen shoulder

-bursitis

-bunions and arthritic joints

What is a treatment like?                                                                                                                                                       RAPID Therapists use a combination of hands on palpation, examination, and treatment. The RAPID provider palpates the tissues with his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Hypersensitive areas are treated by combining precisely directed depth,  tension with very specific patient movements.

RAPID sessions may be uncomfortable, this occurs as the neurological system is being stimulated to restore normal function. You may be sore the next day, but will feel great in the following days and experience less pain and more ease of movement!

What to expect?                                                                                                                                                                       During a session, the client is clothed and no oil or lotion is used. Please bring or wear loose-fitting clothes (sweats, yoga pants, t-shirt) to your session. Every session is a combination of assessment and treatment. Areas are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific movements from the client.

Why choose RAPID?                                                                                                                                                                Clients choose RAPID because of the rapid response to treatment.
